Devon LPG Conversion

The home of quality vehicle LPG conversions in Devon

We believe that your LPG conversion should last. That is why we deliver quality conversions using the best equipment available for your vehicle, and we installed that equipment with care and consideration.

That's why owners of quality cars travel across the UK and Europe to our conversion center in Exeter

The average cost of a litre of Petrol in Devon is £1.059p and rising

The average cost of a litre of diesel in Devon is £1.079p and rising

The average cost of a litre of LPG in Devon is 51.4p and holding

The distance traveled per litre of LPG is approximately 5% to 25% less than for petrol, this is dependant on three things, on the installer, and the equipment the installer is using, as well as LPG's lower volumetric energy density, but due to the much lower cost per litre, significant savings can be still achieved even compared with the latest diesels,

bulletThousands of petrol stations throughout the UK now supply LPG and converted vehicles can run on both LPG and Petrol.
bulletLPG is cleaner for the environment with up to 70% less harmful emissions
bulletThere is little to no reduction in power compared to petrol
bulletThe cleaner burning LPG, is better for your engine
bulletConverted cars can run on LPG and Petrol - increased range between stops
bulletImproved sale ability especially for large cars and 4x4s
bulletNormally, there should be no change in premiums on your motor insurance policy if the conversion was completed by a LPGA approved installer.
bulletNo-one can syphon your LPG tank
bulletLPG conversions are supported by the UK Government as well as the major Oil companies - BP, Shell and Calor
bulletConversion charges start at just £1400 including vat
bullet Our staff are Competent, Qualified, and their work is regularly inspected, and approved by the LPGA. You can check to see if an installer is Competent, Qualified by logging onto the LPGA web site www.lpga.co.uk       www.uklpg.org

We believe like the LPGA, and Devon Trading Standards that the quality of our conversions are important to you, and as everybody knows you can easily make a a bad conversion using the best equipment, so when people work to a budget price and speed the first casualty is quality the next is safety.

That's why we would suggest that you visit and inspect the work of at least two conversion companies before you place your order.

Budget news April 2009

Fuel Duty

Following representations by the Association we are pleased to advise that the Chancellor has recognized the difficulties facing the industry by not reducing the duty differential with petrol at the next increase announced for September 2009.

The government has also extended the time horizon on duty from 3 years to 5 years.

This creates a positive message of support for the industry and allows LPG to remain competitive in the market place.

bulletThe LPG differential with petrol to apply in the Budgets through to and including 2013 has been set. This will cover the period to March 2014
bullet
bulletThere is also a commitment that in these Budgets, the duty differential for LPG will be reduced by no more than 1p on a litre of petrol each year.
bullet
bulletThere will be an additional increase in fuel duty to take effect on 1st September 2009.
bullet
bulletPetrol will go up by 2p per litre but LPG will only go up by 1.425p per litre.

Mike Chapman
