This conversion was one
of the most challenging for lots of reasons -
the car was suffering from metal fatigue and so any
bolt that we removed from the engine would snap and we
then had to obtain bolts and nuts from specialist suppliers.
The two LPG tanks were installed on a skid unit so
that they could be slid out from under the vehicle in
the future for easy
maintenance
The LPG filler was mounted on a bracket that was bolted under the vehicle as
we did not have the heart to
cut into her gorgeous bodywork.
The vaporiser was mounted in such a way that a
chauffer could reach them when he was wearing his cuffs.
The car has lots of history and I would advise you to
talk to John Fletcher, as he is the expert on them.
My closing line for this vehicle is we
loved every hour we worked on her and there were many :)
